A woman in Tennessee pointed a gun at fast food workers because they gave her ketchup instead of jelly. No one was injured.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities in Tennessee say an irate woman pointed a gun at fast food workers because they gave her ketchup instead of jelly.
Asia Vester, 20, was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, news outlets are reporting.
According to a Memphis police affidavit, Vester was in the drive-thru line of a McDonald’s last week when she received her food and realized her request for jelly was either forgotten or unheeded. She instead received ketchup.
Words were exchanged with several employees. Vester was accused of pulling out a gun and pointing it at employees, the affidavit says.
Surveillance video led police to Vester.
Since Vester is under 21, it is illegal for her to possess a weapon. Vester is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. It’s unclear whether she has an attorney to speak for her.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — An Alaska dentist accused of fraud and unnecessarily sedating patients also performed a procedure while riding a wheeled, motorized vehicle known as a hoverboard, authorities said.
Prosecutors charged 34-year-old Seth Lookhart with felony Medicaid fraud and reckless endangerment.
A former patient testified Wednesday at his trial that she was angered when an investigator showed her an unauthorized 2016 video of Lookhart extracting one of her teeth while she was sedated and he was riding the hoverboard.

Veronica Wilhelm was “pretty livid” about the dentist’s actions, she testified.
“When did Dr. Lookhart get your approval to take out your tooth on a hoverboard,” prosecutor Joan Wilson asked in court.
“He never did. I obviously wouldn’t have approved that. That’s dangerous,” Wilhelm said.
Wilhelm also was angered that Lookhart sedated her son for a teeth cleaning, she said
Lookhart denied the felony fraud allegations but acknowledged some other accusations, including the hoverboard procedure, defense attorney Paul Stockler said.
Stockler described the dentist’s actions as “absolutely stupid.”
“But I’ve seen much more dangerous things where no doctor has been charged,” the lawyer said.
The Anchorage dentist unnecessarily sedated patients so he could inflate his Medicaid billing, authorities said.
Lookhart fraudulently billed Medicaid about $1.8 million dollars and stole $250,000 from his partners, authorities said.
A state board suspended Lookhart’s dentistry license in 2017.
Wilhelm addressed Lookhart directly in court.
“I don’t have anything bad to say about taking out my tooth, I appreciate that, but I just think that what you did was outrageous, narcissistic you know, and crazy,” she said.

MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. (AP) — An elk is running around western North Carolina with a shredded hammock on its head, and apparently a love of apples is to blame.
News outlets report Jim Beaver told the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office on Thanksgiving that an elk was stuck in his yard with its antlers tangled up in a hammock.
The sheriff’s office on Facebook says Cpl. Ken Stiles climbed onto the roof, cut the hammock and freed the animal.
Beaver says elks often eat apples in his yard and play with his hammock.
This elk however was too playful.
Beaver says he didn’t free the elk himself, in case it decided to attack. He told WLOS-TV that the elk, with pieces of the hammock still in its antlers, has returned to the house a few times.
CRESTVIEW, Fla. (AP) — A woman who bought a baby shower gift at a Florida Goodwill store was shocked when the father-to-be opened the box and found a loaded semi-automatic rifle inside.
Veronica Alvarez-Rodriguez told the Northwest Florida Daily News that she and her husband stopped by the store in Valparaiso on Sunday as they were heading to a friend’s baby shower. She found a Baby Einstein’s bouncer that was unopened and appeared to be brand new for $9.99.
”It was like the perfect gift for the baby shower,” Alvarez-Rodriguez said.
The father-to-be thought so too.
He shouted, ”You guys got me a gun!” Alvarez-Rodriguez said.
While some of the guests laughed, Alvarez-Rodriguez said she and her husband were shocked. They called the Crestview Police Department.
Officers came to the party and checked the couple’s identifications to make sure they weren’t convicted felons, police spokesman Maj. Andrew Schneider said.
The responding officer initially allowed the father-to-be to keep the gun, which is a Mossberg 715T semi-automatic rifle. The next day police asked him to turn it over to the department.
The incident remains under investigation. There were no details on how the gun got into the box, which appeared unopened.
An employee at the Goodwill store said she couldn’t comment.
“Goodwill has the best treasures for $9.99,” Alvarez-Rodriguez said.

MCCOMB, Miss. (AP) — Residents of a Mississippi city are protesting a large pothole in their neighborhood by decorating it with holiday cheer.
The Enterprise-Journal reports residents of McComb’s Edgewood neighborhood have topped the pothole and its yellow traffic cone with tinsel, spray-painted pinecones, white leaves and what appear to be holly berries. The newspaper says residents plan to add lights and presents in the hopes of drawing the city’s attention.
It’s unclear how long the pothole has gone unattended by the city or what drove residents to start cheerfully protesting it recently.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas mother says she received a $3,000 bill after doctors removed a plastic doll shoe stuck in her 3-year-old daughter’s nose.
KTNV-TV reported Tuesday that Lucy Branson stuck two pink Polly Pocket plastic doll shoes up her nose — one in each nostril.
Her mother Katy Branson says she was able to remove one of the shoes but even urgent care couldn’t reach the second shoe.
Branson says she then took her daughter to Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Siena Campus in Henderson where physicians used a tweezer-like tool to successfully remove the shoe in seconds.
The Branson family says they initially received a bill for $3,000 but the charge was reduced to $1,700 because of a high deductible medical policy.
