Weird News From Around The Web: "Hooker" Ghosts and Other Crazy Sh** – LA Weekly

We found a few weird news from around the web because some people don’t think this year is chaotic enough.
ICYMI, here is some crazy sh** that happened across the U.S. recently.
A man from Georgia with two warrants for Felony Violation of Probation gets himself arrested after he commented on the County Sheriff’s Office’s Most Wanted Facebook post asking, “How about me?” The department then responded with, “You are correct you have two warrants, we are on the way.” After the man’s arrest, the police added: “We appreciate you for your assistance in your capture!”
A homeowner from Texas claims her rental home is haunted by hooker ghosts. She claims that male renters experience different parts of their bodies getting stroked. The homeowner also added that it “stirs up the business” as more people rent her home to figure out the paranormal spectacle.
A fire department from Iowa rushed to a “doggy day camp” after a very excited dog accidentally pulled the fire alarm. As punishment, the dog had to wear a signboard around her neck that said “Dear Fire Department, I’m sorry that I pulled the fire alarm today.” The department accepted her apology.
A wild turkey named Kevin is leading a gang of turkey goons to take over the neighborhood for themselves. One of the residents (or victims) reportedly claims, “They’re up at 6 AM in my lawn and start chasing us, trying to pop the tires.” As frightening as they are, Kevin and his squad are cherished. Another resident states, “They kind of grow on you a little bit.”
A pair of brown Birkenstock Arizona sandals once owned by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was auctioned for $218,000 and was sold for $220,000. The well-used sandals were what he wore back in the 1970s when he was still creating Apple. His pair of Birkenstocks were also exhibited previously in Rahms, Germany and Milano, Italy.
To say 2022 is one of the better years we’ve collectively had in recent memory is an understatement, but to say it’s less crazy is debatable.
