A woman made a terrifying discovery while doing a routine clean of her bathroom, leaving several Facebook users feeling disgusted.
Cleaning the bathroom can be one of the worst chores out there, having to scrub a toilet and unclog a drain, while wiping down all the toothpaste-covered surfaces.
All of that work just for it to look the same a week later.

However, it seems that one woman from Australia may have had it much worse than the rest of us.
Karyina was on her way to make her bathroom squeaky-clean when she was greeted with a completely unwelcome surprise under the bathroom mat.
The Queensland-based woman snapped a picture to post on the ‘Cleaning & Organising Inspiration Australia’ Facebook group, asking if anyone could help her with the problem.
The photo showed what looked like worms coming out of the floor, to which she captioned: “How would you deal with this?”
I’d probably run away and burn the house down.
Users were left absolutely horrified by what they saw, with one commenting: “Lord, I thought that was worms.”
Someone else said they had a ‘heart attack for a minute there’ after making the same observation, while a third asked: “Did anyone else freak out thinking it was worms of some sort?!”
Others were just shocked by the mess Karyina had to deal with, whether it looked like worms or not.
“What a nightmare, I had no idea this could happen,” one said, with another saying they had ‘never seen that before’ either.
The bath mat had somehow melded into the floor, meaning when Karyina picked it up, it left debris from the material stuck to the tiles.
Thankfully, some Facebook users came forward with sensible solutions.
One suggested: “Oh no, do yourself a favour go to Bunnings and buy Goo remover. It’s bloody amazing on anything sticky! Especially that!”
Someone else said ‘boiling hot water from the kettle should help’, while another said to ‘pour some paint thinner on and scrape it away with a plastic paint scraper’.
Another said ‘eucalyptus oil’ worked well for them last time it happened to them, with a different Facebook user adding: “If those are porcelain tiles, get some acetone from an auto shop (don’t use nail polish remover), pour it on, leave it for five minutes, and then rub it off with a rag.”
But tiled floors can be damaged easily, so some warned Karyina to proceed with caution – with one person advising keeping things simple after having the same issue on her flooring.
“I had this on my tile floor, and the only thing that worked for me with no damage at all was a steam mop with a brush – be very careful if you use other products, you may scratch or damage the colour of the tiles,” she said.
After the initial scare, I think we’re all relieved it’s just a light stain – hopefully our hero Karyina managed to scrub it out!
