Woman's drastic teeth 'transformation' goes viral – but some spot a problem – The Mirror

A woman has garnered millions of views after showing off a drastic teeth ‘transformation’ she credits to being ‘married to a dental surgeon’. However, eagle-eyed viewers have spotted a big problem
Glow-ups have dominated the zeitgeist in recent years, but some aren't what they seem.
It's a phenomena that feels slightly narcissistic, fuelled by people's obsession with perfection and desire to improve their appearance. People show photos from their younger years and contrast them with how amazing and beautiful they look now – reaping all the online gratification they can handle from adoring fans. If aliens invaded, we would struggle to explain why they're so popular.
But one woman's glow-up that went viral overnight, amassing millions of views, swathes of comments, and more than 790,000 likes, quickly left viewers scratching their heads.
In 2020, Jaqueline Alarcão was all over everyone's FYP (for you page) after posting a series of photos showing her to have crooked and overlapping teeth which protruded from her mouth to having a set of pearly whites most people dream of. She captioned the clip: "Before and after I married a dental surgeon."
Jaqueline, from Brazil, has more than 928,00 followers on TikTok and still posts lifestyle content and travel inspo daily. But the truth behind one of her most successful videos quickly started to crumble. Many were left in awe, as one wrote: "Amazing!! So glad he could fix that for you." Another said: "Well that's a glow up!"

Cosmetic surgeons and beauty professionals even shared it on their social media channels to praise the work, as reported by News.com.au. But as more and more people viewed Jaqueline's clip, some spoke out to question if the transformation had been faked, as many claimed it was 'not possible'. And it turns out they were right to be sceptical. After the 'transformation' blew up online, Jaqueline admitted that she jokingly faked it by wearing a set of fake teeth.
Posting a follow-up video, she showed herself using the prop before revealing her real smile with the caption: "I managed to troll you guys!" Many fans claimed they had spotted that the teeth weren't real from the start, with one writing: "People who believe those are real probably believe vampire ones in movies are real too."
