Woman's horror as new boyfriend proudly shows off his toenail clipping collection – The Mirror
A man has admitted to a strange habit that he shared early on in his relationship, and others have branded it a ‘huge ick’. He stands by his collection and doesn’t see the issue
The early days of a new relationship are exciting, but it's also daunting to discover unusual quirks your new partner has along the way.
One woman was seriosuly horrified when she came across her new beau's collection of toenail clippings. Usually people will collect items they are interested in, but she was stunned when she found out his dirty secret.
Dubbed an "instant ick", the proud owner of the toenail collection revealed his habit anonymously on the podcast LuAnna, where hosts Luisa Zissman and Anna Williamson read out the confession.
Sharing how the whole thing started, he said: "When I was younger, I used to keep any of my long toenail clippings inside a lid on a storage heater where the dials were.
"Any time I cut my toenails I would compare the ones I had cut previously to the new freshly cut ones and throw out the shortest toenail if I had a new long toenail."
Proud of the collection, he boasted about his haul to his new girlfriend when they first started dating.. The baffled podcast hosts said they would "run for the hills" if someone showed them their toenail clippings they had kept. The strange admission horrified not only the hosts, but fans of the podcast as well.
One fan commented: "SO weird," and another chimed: "My Only question is…WHY," followed by a shocked emjoi. Another shared a similar experience and penned: "An ex of mine used to store his 'emissions' in a plastic coke bottle. When I asked him why he said he wanted to see how long it would take to fill."
Another woman was left horrfied after the man she'd been newly dating had admitted to "googling" her medication in her bathroom and said if she was "mentally ill," it would be a "big turn off" after he found "antipsychotic" tablets.
Instead of chatting about what he'd been getting up to that day, the man revealed that he did research on some of the medications he found in her bathroom. He brutally wrote in a text: "Hey not to be rude and this is super awkward of me. The other night was fun but I Googled those tablets you left on your bathroom sink (super invasive of me I know) and it said they were antipsychotics," and asked: "You're not mentally ill are you? Just a turn-off and I wouldn't wanna go further if so."
