'Ghostly' figure caught on camera in Offaly leaves witnesses 'flabbergasted' – Irish Mirror

A team of ghost hunters have released what they are calling a "ghostly" image captured during a paranormal investigation in Offaly last week.
The team, the Paranormal Supernatural Investigations Ireland (PSII), were hosting a ghost-hunting expedition in the banquet hall of Kinnitty Castle.
Having previously captured an image of a strange figure during an outing at the same location last year, members of the public were invited this time around to take part.

With the help of complex ghost-hunting gadgets such as the SLS Camera, K2 meters and Mel meters, the team were able to detect a strong electromagnetic energy in the area.
They encouraged the cohort of public participants to take as many photos as they possibly could, but insisted on disabling flash as they say it "kills off" any energy that is present.
One of the cohort, a woman called Kai, let out a "gasp" when she looked at a photo she had just taken, according to the group.
They said: "We heard a loud gasp from Kai, and we all turned to her to see what was happening. She told us she captured a strange image. Upon inspection of the picture, all of us were flabbergasted.
"Everyone including ourselves could clearly see a translucent image of a male figure. We even posted this image up on our Facebook Page, (Paranormal Supernatural Investigation's Ireland), and it has received a phenomenal response from people."
The same group appeared on the Late Late Show last October where they explained what they do, and revealed that they had previously caught an image of what they believe to be the ghost of Edward Carson, the former Irish Unionist politician and fierce opponent of Home Rule in Ireland in the early 20th century, in a castle in Galway.
