Inside abandoned '90s 'horror house' – with 'skin and wet flesh' hanging from the ceiling – The Mirror
A urban explorer based in the UK has offered a sneak peek at a creepy ‘horror house’ that has been abandoned since the 1990s – with flesh, skin and bones seen hanging from the ceiling
A man has shared the story of a creepy abandoned "horror house" he stumbled upon – which he says is filled with bones and pieces of “wet flesh”.
Urban explorer Daniel Sims, 34, from Huddersfield, ventured into a village in Herefordshire to find the home completely left to the elements, and he estimates it's been abandoned for two decades.
Though he regularly visits deserted buildings across the globe, what Daniel found inside this particular property has left him shaken.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, where he goes by the name BeardedReality, he shows the grisly sight awaiting him inside.
Describing what he found, Daniel said: "We entered the left property through open windows at the back and were instantly blown away. From calendars hung up still on the wall, the house seems to have been left since 1998 for a good 20 years. It was filled to the brim with so many crazy items but in [such] a state of decay, that you could tell no one had been there or lived there for a while.
"[But] the strangest thing about this place is that one room has loads of pieces of flesh and [animal] skin hanging down from the ceiling. As well as this, many bones and skulls were all over the property, making it quite a creepy explore."
In the video, Daniel and a fellow explorer enter the home, and are soon met with a grim sight. Entering one room, things can be seen hanging from the ceiling. As he approaches, Daniel says: "This is weird…oh it is flesh! Ew you can feel it as well. That is pure flesh. You can see the fat dripping off of it…it’s still wet."
Other strips of "flesh" are seen draped across the top of the door. It is not clear what the room was used for, though Daniel reckons it could have been used for leather making. Elsewhere, he spots what he believes to be an animal skull and various bones littering the home.
Reminiscing on his other finds at the home, the explorer said there were "stunning items and gorgeous furniture in this place", with the walls "covered in some amazing stunning art". He added that there were "wardrobes filled with clothes and some taxidermy pheasants and baby pheasants", which were "amazing".
“Some surprising finds here were the very old Victorian family photos, old leather gun cases, and a living room filled with so much fine china and ornaments. There are some stunning pianos left here and other instruments.” Daniel has previously made headlines sharing his other explorations, from abandoned farms to mansions.
