'A mum at school is driving me mad – her requests to help her out are non-stop' – The Mirror

A woman has been left raging after a fellow school mum didn’t stick to the deal they made about sharing the school run – but her demands have gone further than just picking up and dropping off her daughter
A mum is at her wits-end with another school mum as she claimed she's "driving her mad" with persistent demands.
Being friends with fellow school mums can make life easier when it comes to school pick-ups and drop-offs, but it can get frustrating when you feel as if you're being lumped with all of the duties and the others aren't pulling their weight.
One mum shared her frustration when she ended up with more than she'd bargained for with another mum – who even started asking her for money for food and even a new mobile phone.
She explained how her daughter Daisy had become friends with a girl called Dee as they go to the same school. The mum had made a plan with Dee's Mum Bee to drop them off, and she would pick them up – but said the plan "fell through" and she ended up doing both for "several months".
The mum shared that Bee was a "struggling single mum" and has become very "demanding and needy" and is becoming a weekly and sometimes a daily thing. The mum took to Reddit to vent about the situation and said: "I've helped where I can, but a lot of her asks are wild. 'I need money for food.' 'Do you know anything about x, y, or z?' (I've never given her money but have helped with giving her an old phone, with the promise it'd be returned when she got a new one. She returned it, alright, completely shattered.)"
However, it came to a boiling point when the mum detailed how her car had stopped working so she was unable to pick the girls up from school. When she asked Bee, she was simply told she couldn't, and to "figure it out".
The mum further explained how she's currently five months pregnant and suffering from a knee injury. She also stated that the girls walking wasn't an option as it was too dangerous alone. She wrote: "So I walked. Took me over 40 minutes to get there with my knee. By the time I got there, my partner had gotten off work, so he offered to pick us up at the park next to the school. Was a semi-warm day, so wasn't a huge issue.
"But Daisy told me that Bee came to pick up Dee. So obviously she could get there with no issues! I was p***d, so I messaged her and told her, 'From now on we should just pick up our own kid. You couldn't do me one favour in my time of need after I have helped you out with so much'."
However, it backfired and Dee told her she was "breaking a promise" but is confused as it was just a "deal" to her. The mum asked if she was being an a**hole for telling Dee to pick up her daughter from now on, as she felt bad as she knows Dee struggles. People flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, as one Redditor said: "Just block her. She is just using you at this point and I can't see how you're benefitting from this relationship at all."
A second penned: "If she wants to call it a promise, then she already broke it long ago. She's asked you for countless favours and gotten them, despite the ire it's causing you in your relationship. Then this one time you ask her for something and it's too much trouble for her."
