Weird, But Funny Way To Control Casper's Turkey Situation – K2 Radio

Imitation is the finest form of flattery and may be the easiest way to deal with the Casper turkey posse.
With St. Patrick's Day approaching, the story of St. Patrick leading the snakes out of Ireland came to mind when I watched this video. Even though the snake story may have been just a tale, I can see with my own eyes that this guy could lead the turkeys right out of Casper.

Can you imagine driving down 15th, Wolcott, or Durbin streets and seeing this character hopping and bouncing while sounding like a turkey and leading the flock out of town?
Wyoming Game and Fish Department has begun a process of live trapping some of the birds and will relocate them to areas perfect for the turkeys to thrive.
Casper Wildlife Biologist Brandon Warner says he continues to get turkey complaints and explains why so many birds are in town this year.
So what we had a lot of last summer was rain, and rain causes a lot of grasses, Forbes, which are flowering plants that grow. Those flowering plants bring in insects, and then the poults and baby chick turkeys need those insects to grow. There's been a lot of research done every year across the country in multiple states. Wyoming actually is one of the highest-producing turkey states in recent years; that's why we're seeing so many birds.
