Woman discovers hidden 'Narnia' room in her house three years after moving in – The Mirror

A woman shared a viral video on TikTok after discovering a secret room behind a wardrobe in a bedroom, more than three years after originally moving into the property
A woman was left gobsmacked after discovering she had a secret room hidden in a peculiar area of her home.
Anyone who grew up watching and reading The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, is bound to have dreamt of the day they discover they can go through their wardrobe to another place. That very fantasy happened to one woman – she discovered a whole room hiding behind a wardrobe fitted to the wall.
The woman's daughter shared what happened via TikTok where she revealed the family had been living in the home for three years before making the bizarre discovery. They were open-mouthed after a DIY project revealed the hidden room; a built-in wardrobe was knocked down in a bid to create more space and the extra room was found.
The incredible video went viral when it was shared in 2020, and has been viewed more than 850,000 times. The homeowner's daughter said: "My mom broke her closet wall down and it turned out to be a whole new room that people never finished. We've been in this house for three years."
In another video, she explains: "Her boyfriend is moving in and they're trying to give him a closet. So he broke down the wall to try and make it bigger and it turns out there's a whole other side of the house."
Viewers were left jealous by the unexpected discovery, with one commenting: "I wish I could find another whole part of my house. I'm never lucky." Another joked: "You found Narnia."
Some people were confused about how the family hadn't found it before – especially since the space had windows. But the woman said they just hadn't discovered the extra room while previously exploring.
She added: "We searched the house up and down for a while and eventually gave up." Lots of people warned her to be careful about using the hidden space, as one person asked: "Anyone else thinking the old homeowners trapped a spirit in the room and built the wall to hide it and keep it in there…or is it just me?"
Another commented: "I'm over here thinking about why was it boarded up in the first place? What happened in that room? Has no one seen Hill House?" A third warned: "Probably kept a demon in there but since you opened it, you're all f*****. Have you not watched any paranormal movies?"
