A possible Bigfoot sighting from a train in Colorado, a creepy clown troubling a Scottish village, and a ‘pet’ deer seen wandering around a Missouri neighborhood were among the weird and wondrous stories to cross our desk this past week.
Several intriguing videos featuring possible paranormal phenomena popped up in the news this past week, beginning with puzzling footage of an eerie cluster of glowing UFOs filmed by an airline passenger flying over New Mexico. On the ghost front, a security guard in Mexico captured footage of what appears to be a ghost child wandering around a shopping center long after it had closed for the night. The most jaw-dropping video of the week came by way of Colorado, where multiple passengers aboard a train spotted and subsequently filmed a bipedal creature that many believe to be Bigfoot wandering around on the side of a mountain.
As so often happens around the Halloween season, this past week saw misguided individuals take the mood of the month a little too far. First, in Florida, a teacher found themselves in hot water after they screened a horror movie featuring Winnie the Pooh to a class of fourth graders. The gruesome slasher film, which features a murderous version of the iconic bear and his sidekick Piglet, sparked outrage among parents, who understandably lambasted the ill-advised ‘lesson.’ Later in the week, a village in Scotland found themselves on edge thanks to a troublemaker who has been roaming around the community dressed as the creepy clown Pennywise and leaving red balloons at various spots throughout town.
Perhaps the strangest story of the week unfolded in Missouri, where authorities were alerted to an unfortunate deer that someone had not only outfitted with a collar but painted the word ‘pet’ on its side. The animal, which has so far evaded capture, is believed to have been domesticated by a misguided individual who eventually set it free and then subsequently ‘tagged’ it in the hopes that it would not be taken down during the upcoming hunting season. As one might imagine wildlife officials were not too thrilled with this development and stressed to residents that wild deer cannot be taken in as pets, no matter how adorable a fawn might be.
