Celtics, Bills, Jets and more celebrate total solar eclipse

A total solar eclipse will pass through North America Monday for the first time since 2017.

An estimated 31.6 million people live in the path of totality this year, compared to 12 million in 2017. An additional 150 million people live within 200 miles of the path of totality according to NASA.

The start time to Monday’s Miami MarlinsNew York Yankees game was pushed back four hours in anticipation of the astronomical event.

From the Boston Celtics center Luke Kornet blocking out the sun with his unique defensive technique to the Masters handing out special eclipse glasses, sports teams took to social media to observe the momentous occasion.
