Mum outraged as 'rude' train passenger rests bare feet across husband's seat – The Mirror

A woman is ‘raging’ after dealing with a ‘rude’ passenger who caused a disturbance and got out her bare feet – people are shocked by the ordeal but say she should have spoke up
A woman was left "raging" after she had to endure two hours of a "rude" passenger on train – who laid her bare on one of the seats.
Travelling can be a long and tiresome task so finding ways to make your journey comfortable and relaxing is essential. And while you can put your headphones in, read a magazine, or head to the onboard café to make time go by, other passengers may interrupt your peaceful journey with their own onboard activities.
One woman, who wishes to remain unnamed, was left furious on a train journey home from a long day out. She explained on Reddit that a woman sat next to her and her husband had taken her trainers off and put her bare feet across the seat.
"She puts her feet on my husband's seat," the annoyed passenger said. Meanwhile the foot-baring passenger also reportedly spoke on her phone for the entire train journey – on loud speaker.
The mum admitted she was "p***ed off" by the ordeal and said: "On our way home from a day out – two hour train journey – woman next to us spent the entire two hours talking loudly on speaker phone. Then she takes her trainers off and puts her feet across the aisle, resting her feet on my husband's seat.
"Am I being unreasonable for being p***ed off? Get some ear pods or just speak on the phone like a normal person. Why are people so rude? I was about to ask her to move her feet when the train conductor asked her to as she was blocking the aisle.
"10 minutes later, feet back up! Raging." The woman's complaint raked in a lot of reaction on Reddit. One commenter said: "The phone is annoying, the feet are a liberty."
Another said: "Some people have an emotional need to get into other people's spaces. They are really annoying, the choice is either speak to them directly or ignore. Let it go now. At least you never have to see her again."
But others questioned why the annoyed woman was not honest with the passenger – suggesting that if she had spoken up she would not feel as frustrated. "Could you not just use your own voice and tell her to shut up and to move her feet?," one asked.
Another advised: "That's where your husband needed to say 'take your feet off my seat please'. You're only annoying yourself by quietly fuming, these people do it because you let them."
Another commenter added: "I would have embarrassed her by loudly asking her to move her feet because they smell."
