We've all relished those amazing moments when we've tucked into our favourite snacks to find something slightly different about them.
Whether it's a KitKat with no wafer, a long Hula Hoop or the halcyon days of finding a neatly folded £5 note inside a bag of Smiths Salt 'n' Shake crisps – it's an experience that everyone always remembers.
So it was no surprise that when a cinema-goer shared their recent experience of finding a solid chocolate Malteser, social media went into meltdown. In a thread on Reddit, the user Mr-J-Cob asked: "What's the best snack surprise you've ever found?"

The post said: "I was at the cinema the other day and had the magical experience of placing a Malteaser in my mouth that was 100% chocolate. I'm not even sure how that could happen at the factory. I've seen photos of giant singular Hula Hoops and Wotsits, and I remember when you'd occasionally get a solidified ball of McCoys flavouring, but what's the best snack surprise you've ever experienced?"
Within minutes, the post was inundated with replies and upvotes with many sharing their experiences.
One wrote: "A fiver in a small blue envelope in my crisp packet."
Another added: "Not too long ago I got a quadruple bourbon biscuit. It was two separate biscuits joined by a layer of bourbon biscuit cream. That was fun."
One said they found "a big lump of pure flavouring at the bottom of a packet of Nik Naks. Savoury heaven, innit?"
Another wrote: "I once got 8 Mini Jaffa Cakes in a pack that should have had 6. I was losing my mind in the school canteen."
"Solid chocolate KitKat finger is a common occurrence I have had," said another promping the reply: "I’ve stopped buying Kit Kats because of the disappointment when I don’t get a solid chocolate one."
Another questioned: "Just one solid finger? Seems relatively common, a full 4 finger solid…the holy grail. It’s happened twice in my lifetime. Everybody heard about it. The joy comes from a combination of surprise and deliciousness lol."
Another snack lover commented: "Bought a multipack of KitKats, every single KitKat was pure chocolate, no wafer. I've had a long Hula Hoop, I've also had a totally chocolate Malteser too! I feel very privileged! The KitKats was deffo the best though, I love chocolate a bit too much."
One said: "Solid chocolate Club biscuit. No biscuit all chocolate."
Another added: "Double filled bag of Scampi Fries, so excited I weighed it, 59g instead of 27g. Good times."
One summarised: "If there is a marketing exec reading this wouldn’t it be great if they took note? One or two solid chocolate Maltesers or KitKats wouldn’t hurt the profits too much surely! Make the world a better place lol."
