'Ghost of a dog' seen walking through fences and car in spooky CCTV footage – The Mirror

Ghost enthusiasts are divided over a spooky CCTV clip that shows a shadowy figure walking through fences and a car at night – some reckon it’s the ‘spirit’ of a dog or a cat
Creepy CCTV footage showing what some believe is the "ghost of a dog" has caused quite the stir among paranormal enthusiasts online.
The eerie clip was shared to the Ghosts Caught On Camera group on Facebook last week, although the timestamp in the top right of the video suggests it was captured last year. It was shared alongside the caption: "Can anyone suggest what this is? Focus on the right hand side of the video."
The video shows a sleepy residential street at night, with no people about at all. As it progresses, a peculiar grey shape appears moving from the bottom right of the frame to the left hand side. And bizarrely, whatever it is moves through two fences and a parked car to get there.
People have been busy sharing their guesses as to what the shadowy figure could be in the comments section below the 41-second clip. And many people seem to have had the same idea.
One person said: "It looks like a spirit of a dog." Another said: "Ghost of a dog visiting." And in a similar vein, a third guessed: "Sprint of a cat, looks like a cat." With a fourth adding: "Ghost of a cat."
Weighing in on the dog or cat debate, another person said: "It moves like a dog – its ghost. Not a cat. I'm a cat owner and cats don't move like that. They are not that big and they most certainly don't go through cars. Neither do dogs but this seems to be a ghost dog."
However, not everybody thought something supernatural was afoot, with several people commenting to offer the same explanation. One wrote: "Looks like a bug on the lens. We get this a lot on our cameras." Another said: "A bug crawling over the camera lens." But others disagreed, with some suggesting it could even be the shadow of something walking across a powerline just out of shot.
