Martin Lewis 'glitch' on X is so bizarre users thought they wouldn't be believed – The Mirror

People have been left baffled by a glitch on X (formerly Twitter) that centres around Martin Lewis’ website – and some were concerned they wouldn’t be believed as it’s so niche
Martin Lewis dedicates his work life to helping people save as much money as possible and he's often appearing on TV and social media – but his website has been appearing on X a lot more due to a bizarre "glitch".
Some X (formerly Twitter users have noticed that if they click on "any Tweet to expand it", it's bringing up the Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert website – and people are finding it both hilarious and baffling in equal measure.
User @largacty1 posted: "For some reason there's now a sort of 50/50 chance that tapping any tweet to expand it just takes me to the moneysavingexpert website?" And they shared an accompanying clip to prove it was real.
Others said they'd experienced a similar glitch, but it took them to "the BBC website". Someone else shared: "I used to have this with the National Rail app sending me to an advertiser's page every time I tried to do a search. Something going wrong with their ad provider, by the looks of it."
User @rachlsara pointed out she had the same glitch, but was worried that nobody would believe her. She penned: "There's a glitch in Twitter rn where sometimes when you click any picture someone has tweeted it takes you to Martin Lewis Money Saving Experts website and I can't get it on screen recording as it's at random so nobody believes me."
When she noticed the post from @largacty1, she wrote: "Hell yeah, evidence!" Another wrote: "Omg this happened to me but I thought I just kept clicking the wrong button."
@MoneySavingExp responded to the chaos, writing: "Hello, we believe you! We're getting lots of reports of this at the moment — although we're not sure what's causing it as we do not pay to advertise on Twitter/X (or anywhere else at all), but we've raised it with them to investigate. MSE Ciara."
