Man urged to 'burn house down now' after discovering 'absolute unit' of a slug – The Mirror

Reddit users expressed their disgust after a man shared a snap of a giant slug he found perched on his window sill – with some comparing it to the size of a banana
A man has been told to call the Ghostbusters after returning from a night out to find an "absolute unit" of a slug in his house.
After a snap of the slimy creature was shared to Reddit's CasualUK subreddit, some users said they thought it was a banana at first glance, such is its incredible stature. Perched on a window sill with its trails visible on the glass above, the finder penned: "Absolute unit of a lad waiting for me after I came home from the pictures tonight."
It prompted several Reddit users to suggest the man set his cat on it and head straight to the shop to buy salt to lay down as a future deterrent. The man responded: "Naww, he wasn’t doing no harm! Live and let live!"
Others were quick to respond with their own slug nightmares, with some offering tips on how to deal with the matter. One person penned: "I came home one Christmas Eve and saw something like this on my doorstep. I picked it up and threw it as far as I could down the garden."
Another cursed: "These horrible buggers keep turning up on my kitchen floor, have to always remember to turn the light on if I go down in the night so I never have to experience stepping on one again. Absolutely no idea how they are getting in though?!"
A third joked: "F*** me, you need to call the Ghostbusters for that." And a fourth added: "Absolutely hate those things. Left a book on my living room floor one night and came down in the morning to find it had eaten part of the cover. I can’t get rid of the buggers and I feel like I’ve tried everything."
And a fifth said in disgust: "Burn the house down. Seriously, I'm gonna have nightmares, give me a plague of spiders before slugs."
After several Reddit users claimed it was a Leopard Slug due to its spot-like appearance, meanwhile, one slug aficionado explained in response: "It's a Green Cellar Slug. Leopard Slugs are greyish-brown and black in colour. Cellar Slugs are harmless to plants in the garden but they love to come into houses if they can find a way in."
