Possible Bigfoot photos captured by an Indiana game camera, odd UFOs seen over Beijing and Barcelona, and a significant setback in the search for Amelia Earhart’s plane were among the weird and wondrous stories to cross our desk this past week.
Bigfoot was back in the news this past week by way of a compelling series of game camera photos that some believe show the legendary creature crossing through some woods. Captured by a device on some forested property in the Indiana community of Connersville, the pictures provide multiple looks at what appears to be a hairy bipedal creature. Intriguingly, the game camera owner reported that neighbors had recently complained about their dogs acting up due to some strange noises coming from the woods.

This past week saw two very interesting videos of aerial anomalies seen in the skies in different parts of the world. First, in China, a television personality named Tang Xiao captured footage of a truly bizarre UFO said to have been seen over the city of Beijing. The weird object displayed a peculiar intermittent glow that was either the result of lights affixed to the suspected craft or the reflection of the sun. Later in the week, a curious cluster of lights was filmed in the sky above the city of Barcelona, Spain. The baffling batch of anomalies appeared shortly before Spain was struck by devastating floods, leaving some to wonder if the event was a warning of the disastrous events set to unfold.

In an unfortunate update to what had been a promising story from earlier in the year, it was revealed this week that a submerged anomaly suspected of being Amelia Earhart’s downed aircraft was actually just a bunch of rocks. Announced back in January to considerable fanfare, the image of what appeared to be a plane-shaped object on the Pacific Ocean floor was so tantalizing that it even elicited a response from the famed aviator’s family. Alas, a subsequent expedition to the spot last Friday found that the mystery surrounding Earhart’s fate will continue to puzzle researchers and historians as the ‘downed plane’ was merely pareidolia brought about by some rocks.
