New York influencer mocked for 'insane' Thanskgiving dress that has wild price tag – The Mirror US
Many of us enjoyed Thanksgiving celebrations with our loved ones last week.
While some gathered around the table for cosy turkey dinners, others got into the festive spirit by attending parties or parades. And influencers have been sharing snippets from the big day on Instagram.
One of these is New York City-based Brigette Pheloung, who used the occasion as an opportunity to dress up. She wore an extravagant knitted gown for dinner with her family, along with long white gloves and an eye-catching fur hat.

The 27-year-old told her 618,000 Instagram followers: "This is 100% hand knit by a really cool designer who just graduated from Parsons and I just cannot even get over how cool it is. This outfit is giving Barbie on top of the cake meets Christian girl fall."
While Brigette seemed to be delighted with the outfit, others weren't as keen on it. Some branded the cost of the dress "insane" – and others compared it to a blanket, Christmas tree skirt or piece of carpet.
One responded" "I don’t often say this but girl you got too much money." Another agreed: "$9,000 for literally a sweater dress is insane!"
A third said: "Hey so I have a blanket that looks just like this from Target." And a fourth added: "You could’ve just cut a hole into a blanket."
Despite the backlash, some commenters loved the look. One gushed: "You're just iconic – it's crazy."
Another swooned: "Forget the turkey, you’re the main event every year!" And a third pointed out: "The best part is you can eat however much food you want and no one would know."
