Brit gets royally wrong tattoo
A British man has got a royal wedding tattoo with the wrong date on. Stephen Nesbitt’s souvenir of Prince William and Princess Catherine’s big day went badly wrong when tattooist Alan Fleck inked April 28 instead of April 29 on the factory worker’s thigh at his studio in Newcastle.
The 33-year-old royal family fanatic asked for ‘Good Luck William and Kate’ and did not even realise the date was wrong until a friend pointed out the error later that day.
Luckily Stephen, who paid £30 for the tattoo and was later reimbursed, saw the funny side of the mistake.
He said: “It’s quirky. It’ll be the only one in the country with that date.”
Bin Laden is dead, now I can shave
An American man was able to shave for the first time in a decade, after Osama bin Laden died.
After US citizens were killed in terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, school teacher Gary Weddle vowed to let his facial hair grow until Osama was caught or proved to be dead.
His beard reached 14 inches before he could finally get rid of it when news broke that the Al-Qaeda leader had been shot.
Ridding himself of his facial fuzz proved to be an emotional moment for Gary, who said: “I spent my first five minutes crying and then I couldn’t get it off fast enough.”
Meanwhile, his wife Donita has expressed relief that her husband no longer sports the grizzly look.
She said: “He looks 10 years younger. It’s a very happy moment for us.”
US man accused of getting too close to goat
An American man has been accused of sexually assaulting a goat.
Mark Thompson, 19, of South Charleston, West Virginia, has been arrested and accused of kidnapping a young pygmy goat, sexually assaulting it and slaying it while he was wearing women’s underwear and reportedly high on bath salts.
Lisa Powers had recently purchased the goat – called Bailey – for her four-year-old grandson, and a neighbour informed the family that they had seen the creature in Mark’s house.
Lisa said: “They opened the door and he was standing there with his pants down. He had on women’s clothing and the goat was dead and there was blood everywhere.”
Mark fled the scene and was found hours later covered in blood. He was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.
Cuban has world’s longest stogie
A Cuban cigar roller has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest stogie.
Castelar Cairo, known as Cueto, rolled a 268ft cigar to put himself into the record books for the fifth time.
He first set a record by rolling a 36ft cigar in 2001 and went on to surpass this record three times before his latest achievement, which he started last week assisted by a team of helpers.
Cueto, 67, said: “The record for the largest cigar has to be in Cuba forever, because Cuba is the place with the best cigars in the world.”
