Man gets 'petty revenge' on holidaymakers for pool behaviour that 'annoys' many – The Mirror US

A man has been praised for his "deliciously petty" revenge on a family who hogged the sun loungers at his island resort. He explained how he treated himself to a holiday on Hamilton Island, Australia, and was excited to lounge around the pool in the sun.
However, on the first day, he was unable to do this as all of the sunbeds were either occupied or reserved. He said on Reddit: "I arrived at the pool at 7am when it opens, I noticed seven sun loungers had towels laid over them already. They were in the best spot, with large umbrellas shading them.
"The pool gets busy by 8am and all sun loungers become occupied. The selfish people that 'reserved' their spot didn't arrive until 11.15, well over four hours later. They only stayed in the pool for one hour. This really annoyed me." The next morning, he sat on his balcony and watched over the pool to see who was reserving the sunbeds before executing his revenge plan.
"As soon as I saw entitled Mr sun lounger hogger heading out to claim his thrones, I followed behind and collected all seven towels and threw them in the pond next to the pool," he added. "I picked a prime position so I could witness their reaction. It was brilliant. They tried to accuse the new residents of the sun loungers but other people backed them up.
"They collected their wet dirty towels and after realising there were no sun loungers, they left. Looking thoroughly annoyed. It was deliciously petty but worth it." Applauding him for his revenge, one user said: "It's not like shovelling out a snowed in parking spot and leaving a chair to reserve it. They didn't earn those spots in any way. Glad you threw in the towels for them."
Another user added: "I'm going on a princess cruise in a few months and you have given me a great idea for an activity to do if bored in the AM. A nice stake out." A third user said: "It’s one thing if you’re going to take a pee or get a drink and are saving it for five-ten minutes, but if you’re gone for more than thirty minutes, it’s free real estate."
One more user added: "Oh I hate it when people 'reserve' spots like that! I take my soon to swimming lessons and without fail people 'reserve' the best, two larger stalls – and even the handicapped one- by keeping clothes in them, even though there are signs not to. So every week we're one of the first out of the showers (short hair) and without fail, when I leave the cubicle to get his shoes from the locker the people still aren't using the stall they 'reserved'."
