'I'm 90% covered in tattoos – people stare and assume I'm a bad mom' – Daily Express US
Some love it and some hate it, and this mom knows from personal experience just how divisive extensive tattoo art can be.
Kyla, a mother of two has shared that parents “pull their children closer” and stare when they see her extensive body art, which covers her from head to toe.
The self-proclaimed tattoo addict has spent roughly $330,000 on ink designs that cover about 90% of her skin. While she and her partner love her tattoos, Kyla acknowledges that people have labeled her a “circus freak” and she’s even been ejected from restaurants due to her tattoos.
And to top it off, she’s faced accusations of being an unfit mother because of her appearance. The tattoo model, who also sports several piercings, some 3D implants and tooth jewels to complete the look, surprisingly revealed to YouTube’s Truly TV that she was brought up in a Mormon church.

“It was very conservative, strict, so I wasn’t allowed to do a lot of things I wanted to do growing up”, she confessed.
This restraint that had been forced on her from an early age led to her to start experimenting with how she looked, and she hasn’t looked back since.
The Illinois-based mother now sometimes gets tattooed twice a week. “I never in my life pictured that I would be this heavily tattooed,” she admitted.
Her partner, a tattoo artist named Vampiro, is also extensively inked. Kyla stated: “We’ve been kicked out of restaurants for having face tattoos, before I even open my mouth we’re assumed to be bad parents”.
However, she’s keen to say that they’re “actually very normal, just like everybody else”.
According to Kyla, though, the worst insults are from online trolls: “The most common comment I see is – ‘you were so beautiful until you ruined yourself with tattoos'”.
She followed up by saying, “None of that stuff bothers me – it’s not for attention, I just like the way I look.”
Following a recent Facebook post, one critic wrote: “What type of example are you setting?” And another said: “I feel sorry for her kids”.
However, some sprang to Kyla’s defence.
A commenter wrote: “Tattooed and pierced people are the most incredible individuals I have ever met. If my kids are ever lost, I tell them to go find someone that’s heavily tattooed or pierced or find a biker. These amazing people will help you find home”.
Defending Kyla, one person remarked: “Tattoos don’t make you a bad parent”, and another added: “I never doubted you weren’t a good parent”.
Meanwhile, on YouTube, one individual complimented: “She is absolutely gorgeous with or without tattoos”.
