TRENDING RUMORS
– Arsenal are in talks with the representatives of Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, according to Ben Jacobs. The Gunners are believed to be interested in a potential move for the 25-year-old as manager Mikel Arteta looks to reinforce his forward line, however it is reported that it would take a “crazy” offer in excess of £80 million to persuade Vitor Pereira’s side to let the Brazil international go in the middle of the season as they look to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
– Barcelona have added Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala to their shortlist, reports Sport. It is reported that manager Hansi Flick believes the 21-year-old Germany international would be a strong addition to his side, as the Blaugrana draw up plans to make a marquee signing in the summer. Musiala’s deal at the Allianz Arena is set to expire in the summer of 2026, but recent reports have indicated that the Bundesliga club are in talks over a contract extension.
– A verbal agreement has been reached between Atlanta United and Newcastle United over a transfer fee for winger Miguel Almirón, according to Cesar Luis Merlo. The two clubs are reported to have agreed a $12m deal following talks, and it is said that the MLS side are now negotiating the final details regarding personal terms for the 30-year-old, who is interested in a return to the United States. Almiron has started just one of his eight appearances in the Premier League this season.
– Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford could be set to stay at Old Trafford, says Sky Sports Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg. Despite “direct contact” ongoing between Borussia Dortmund and the Red Devils regarding a loan deal, it is said that the total valuation of the package — between €8m and €10m — is an issue that has reportedly also seen talks with AC Milan stall. The Bundesliga side’s hierarchy also have concerns about Rashford playing in the same position as winger Jamie Gittens.
– Defender Ronald Araújo is expected to sign a new contract with Barcelona, reports Fabrizio Romano. The 25-year-old has been linked with an exit recently, but the latest indicates that the Blaugrana are set to keep hold of him. Meanwhile, Como and Girona are said to be in talks over a move for Araujo’s teammate and fellow center-back Eric García. Como, managed by Cesc Fabregas, are reported to have made a €7m offer to secure the 24-year-old’s signature.
