'My neighbors want me to repaint my fence – their reason is ridiculous' – The Mirror US
A man has been left outraged after being ordered to repaint his fence after his neighbors took a dislike to the colour his picked out.
He shared on Reddit that he wanted to spruce up his garden on a budget for the summer, so he chose to repaint his fence brown – a color he thought was common and inoffensive.
But his neighbor took issue with it, accusing him of trying to "stand out" with a dark shade contrasting their lighter fences. He posted: "Painted my fence yesterday, apparently this upsets the entire neighborhood. As I sit in the garden, all I hear from passersby is 'Why have they done that?' and 'Do they want to stand out?' My fence has been painted brown."
While some Reddit users found humor in his "entitled neighbors" others cheekily suggested he repaint it an even more vibrant color. One user commented: "Too lazy to paint their own fence, so crying about yours." Another chimed in: "Paint it again, bright purple this time." A third user quipped: "Well if you're painting it a flamboyant colour like brown, what do you expect? It's a residential street, not an Elton John concert."
Another added to the thread: "I half painted my fence yesterday, green. I gave up as it was hot and the tub ran out. Neighbor complaining about it because it wasn't finished and apparently upsetting his OCD. Gonna be p***ed off when I finish the fence in a different shade of green as B&Q have stopped selling the shade I used yesterday."
This isn't the only neighbor row to go viral recently. Previously, a resident got petty revenge after an argument about parking broke out.
Meanwhile, two locals are arguing about trees. While one loves them, the other wants all of them to be chopped down.
And in other news, these neighbours in Texas are at war over a 9ft fence that was apparently put up for extra 'privacy'.
