Ben Affleck Thinks of His Wife Jennifer Lopez as 'Super Human'
On Friday, Ben Affleck dropped in on The Drew Barrymore Show for an interview, and was asked some questions about how his household with wife Jennifer Lopez runs. Barrymore asked if the family has a “cheat drawer” somewhere in their home full of snacks. After laughing, Affleck stated he was going to say “something that’s going to upset you.”
“Jennifer just eats whatever she wants,” he declared. “Whatever she wants… Pizza, cookies, ice cream. Everything.”
Lopez has a famously toned physique, so Barrymore was naturally pretty surprised to hear this and wondered how J.Lo maintains.
“She works out,” Affleck explained. “I mean, I work out, too. But I don’t magically appear to be 20 years old, you know what I mean?’
He added, “There’s no taking away the work ethic. The work ethic is real, the discipline is very real. But also the super human thing is real. She’s the most gorgeous woman in the world, she looks spectacular.”
Affleck gushed about his wife earlier this month as well, at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Air, while chatting with ET.
“She’s brilliant, and [she] helps me in every conceivable way,” he said.
In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Affleck credited Lopez for her and co-producer Matt Damon’s help with Air.
“I started writing and working with Matt, and Jen [Lopez] gave me some great lines too — it just started getting better,” he said. “Oh my God, she’s brilliant. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the way fashion evolves through the culture as a confluence of music, sports, entertainment and dance. She helped me in talking about the way in which a part of the reason why Jordans [the shoes] were so meaningful is because culture and style in America is 90 percent driven by Black culture.”
The film focuses on the partnership between Michael Jordan and Nike’s early basketball division, and the influence of the Air Jordan brand.
