Latest details from Jackson Mahomes arrest are beyond concerning
One week after the disturbing news of Jackson Mahomes’ arrest, more chilling details have come to light.
Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was arrested earlier this May on sexual battery charges.
The charges stem from an incident in February in which Mahomes allegedly tried to forcibly kiss Aspen Vaughn, the owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge in Kansas City. Mahomes was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of misdemeanor battery.
Jackson Mahomes does have a history of questionable behavior, and recent details of his arrest only tar his character more.
On Monday, a judge ordered the release of a redacted copy of the affidavit. This is what it said:
Jackson Mahomes “grabbed [Aspen Vaughn] by the throat, forcing her head back and kissed her and put his tongue in her mouth” three times without her consent and then told her not to tell anyone.

Also per the affidavit, two servers at the restaurant did not hear Vaughn call for help, but they confirmed that Vaughn told them about the assault. At the time, Vaughn showed them a bruise on her neck.
Jackson Mahomes appeared in court on Tuesday to seek a modification to his bond that would allow him to contact four friends who will serve as witnesses in the case. The judge granted this modification with the exception of forbidding Mahomes to contact one particular witness.
In the wake of Jackson Mahomes’ arrest, Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, posted a cryptic message on her Instagram story which included the line, “I burn bridges as needed.”
Jackson Mahomes’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 31.
