Inside Emma Myers’ Getting Ready Process for Dior’s Cruise 2024 Show
Over the weekend, Wednesday’s Emma Myers jetted off to Mexico City with the fashion set to take in Christian Dior’s Cruise 2024 show—a dream opportunity for the 21-year-old actress. “It was a stunning show, everyone was lovely, and I had the most amazing time,” she says.
Myers shared her photos from the jam-packed day exclusively with ELLE.com and detailed what the getting ready process for the show was like.
Turns out, the location played a large part in which Dior look she picked. “I noticed so much texture in every part of Mexico City culture—from the fixtures both large and small, indoor and outdoor, to the thoughtfulness put into their art and architecture,” she says. “I was hopeful that I would be able to choose something equally textural from the spring collection that reflects the city’s playful, art-driven spirit that is full of history. I feel like my gown did exactly that—it felt of another time on its own, and at once was modern once my hair and makeup team came in and collaborated with me on that part of the look.” Myers wore a long black, white, and brown lace dress from spring/summer 2023 with a bag and shoes, also from the house.
Regarding the collection itself, Myers says, “I loved all the denim looks. It was a beautiful show and the location just added to the magical, otherworldly feel of it. I like when a typically casual fabric can be interpreted in a highbrow way, and it got me excited to dive into loads of denim looks for the summer.”
As for other influences on her personal style, Myers confesses that her Wednesday character Enid prompted her to add one item to her closet: “Enid and I have very different styles, but one thing she did influence me on is leg warmers. Since filming the show, I’ve crocheted my own pair, and I love wearing them.”
