Road to the 2023 WCWS: Only two spots left

The 2023 Women’s College World Series field is filling out, and No. 1 Oklahoma will be there to defend its past two college softball championships.

Trailing No. 16 seed Clemson 7-4 and down to her final strike, Kinzie Hansen hit a game-tying three-run home run in the seventh inning to knot the score at 7. In the top of the ninth, Tiare Jennings hit the go-ahead solo home run as the Sooners extended their winning streak to 48 games, longest in Division I softball history.

No. 3 Florida State and No. 6 Oklahoma State became the first two teams to clinch berths in Oklahoma City by sweeping their super regionals on Friday. No. 9 Stanford, No. 4 Tennessee and No. 7 Washington joined them on Saturday.

Two spots will have to wait until Sunday, as No. 5 Alabama and No. 15 Utah staved off elimination. They will face off against No. 12 Northwestern and unseeded San Diego State, respectively, with trips to Oklahoma City at stake.

Here are the scores and upcoming schedule you need to know.
