Taylor Swift Aces the Schoolgirl Look in a Baseball Cap, Button-Up Shirt, and Skort
Taylor Swift is hard at work recording her next project, whatever that may be. Earlier today, the singer was once again photographed arriving to Electric Lady Studios in New York City. This time, she put her own spin on schoolgirl attire. She paired a Free People skort with a $1,290 Sisca shirt by The Row. She accessorized with white socks, black Malone Souliers Oxfords, and a baseball cap.
Swift has not discussed what she has been recording in between Eras tour stops. But in terms of inspiration for new material, she does have her Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy breakups to fuel her lyrics.
A source told Page Six on June 5 that songs about her Healy romance aren’t likely given the brevity of their relationship. The two dated very briefly, from May to June.
“Everyone who really knows her has been saying all along that this was a fun, good time thing that would last as long as it lasted and would be no big deal once it was done,” the source said, shortly after news of Healy and Swift’s breakup came out. “It’s all stupid [the media frenzy around Healy and Swift]. She will not be writing albums about this one. It was a summertime thing. Does everyone have amnesia about Tom Hiddleston? Jesus Christ.”
Around the same time, People reported that Swift’s focus remained steadily on her career. Its source explained on June 6 that “Taylor is doing great—her focus right now is her tour. Since Matty is touring too, they won’t be able to see each other at all. They have been friends for years and decided to just go back to being friends. Nothing complicated happened. It’s just life.”
