Ariana Grande Goes Mod in a Vintage Yellow Two-Piece for Her First Event Since Dalton Gomez Breakup

Ariana Grande returned to the spotlight briefly yesterday to attend an event for her beauty brand, r.e.m. beauty, in New York City. It marks the singer’s first public appearance since news of her impending divorce from Dalton Gomez and new romance with Wicked co-star Ethan Slater broke last month, along with reports of her leaving longtime manager Scooter Braun.

Grande leaned into mod fashion for her appearance at r.e.m.’s pop-up sweetener ice cream shop, where the brand took over Morgenstern’s in New York City to celebrate the release of its new foundations. Grande wore a vintage 1970 Courrèges yellow two-piece set for the occasion. She accessorized with round sunglasses and wore her blonde hair in a high, sleek ponytail.

Her look was styled by Mimi Cuttrell:

Grande’s appearance comes one day after a source spoke to Us Weekly about how Gomez was coping with their breakup. Gomez and Grande were married for two years.

“It’s been a little while since Ariana and Dalton split, but he’s been adjusting to his new normal and learning to accept it for what it is,” the source said. “It’s certainly not how he expected things to play out because he obviously assumed they would be together forever.”

“He never imagined he would be going through a divorce in the public eye,” the source added. “But he’s hanging in there and is grateful for his friends and family who have been really supportive.”
