Mum livid after receiving warning note from son's teacher over his lunchbox – The Mirror

A mum was left baffled after she was slammed by her son’s teacher for packing too many things in his lunchbox – but she was wondering why the snacks had been deemed excessive
As kids go back to school, stressed-out parents will have to think of fun and innovative ways to ensure that their kids are going to eat and enjoy their nutritious snacks and lunches. We all know that a balanced diet and staying hydrated are both equally important, but one woman was left dumbfounded when she received a rather stern note from her son's teacher, leaving her confused as to what the problem was with her son's snacks.
She'd packed him a ham and cheese sandwich, a portion of fruit and nuts, cucumber slices, and a yoghurt – but the food sparked a debate.
She took to social media to share the note that had been given to her about her son, explaining her son's teacher had given a "gentle reminder" to "pack snacks and not lunches" – but the mum was dumbfounded, asking: "Can someone enlighten me why teachers think it's too much for a snack if he eats it all?"
Other parents, however, pointed out that there was a lot of food there for a snack, with one saying: "That's a lunch-sized portion of food, not a snack. They have a policy of not taking food away from kids who are still eating so he's holding up class." Another agreed, writing: "I'm thinking he probably takes longer than the other kids to eat. It's messing up schedule."
But others reassured the mum that she knew her "son's appetite better than anyone", and as she said, if he ate it and enjoyed it, there shouldn't be any issue. Another shared: "If your child is eating it all, then he needs it. Trust you! Keep rocking it mamma", reported Tyla.
And it's not just this mum – other parents have come under fire for their lunch box efforts, as a mum was slammed for packing too much 'junk' for her daughter – but some said they could tell the child was "loved" because of what the mum had packed.
