An Australian sheep that sported a staggering 78-pound coat of wool, a bizarre UFO report from an American Airlines pilot flying over New Mexico, and a chilling video that may show a ghost pulling a toddler under her bed were among the strange and unusual stories to cross our desk this week.
Easily this week’s most intriguing story occurred over New Mexico when the pilot of an American Airlines flight en route to Arizona spotted what he described to nearby air traffic controllers as "a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast right over the top of us." The shocking sighting not only captured the attention of UFO enthusiasts, but drew considerable interest from the mainstream media and, understandably, the FBI, who are currently investigating the very puzzling and somewhat worrisome case.
Mother Nature’s strange side was on full display this past week by way of three stories involving truly bizarre-looking animals. First, in Tennessee, wildlife officials recovered the remains of a deer that was stricken with a rare condition that caused it to have hairy eyeballs! Then, in Indonesia, a fisherman was astounded when he cut open a shark that he had caught and discovered a baby version of the creature that bore a striking resemblance to Casper the Friendly Ghost. And, finally, down in Australia, the life of a wild sheep was saved when animal rescue workers shaved a staggering 78 pounds of wool that had amassed on the creature’s body over the last few years.
This past week saw a particularly eerie piece of footage showing potential paranormal activity pop up in the news when a dad posted a baby cam video of his young daughter seemingly being pulled under her bed by a ghost. While it’s debatable as to whether or not the incident was truly an encounter with a sinister spirit, the video is undeniably unsettling to watch as the youngster disappeared beneath the bed while desperately bellowing "mommy" over and over again before breaking down into full-fledged hysterics.
