TEXARKANA – Texarkana police officers got the surprise of their lives while responding to a call from a concerned citizen.
In a Facebook post, the department said they heard a kangaroo was running around Spring Lake Park on Sunday.

Their initial thought? “Yeah right. That’s crazy!!”
But according to the Texarkana Police Department, everything was on the up and up.
“The kangaroo is named Rocky and he was there with his family, enjoying his time running around the park,” the Facebook post read.
It was a hoppy ending as Rocky was returned to his family, but not before posing for a photo!
Texas is one of only 13 states where it’s legal to own a kangaroo, according to Texas Monthly.
