LeBron surprises Duquesne with new sneakers ahead of March Madness
The No. 11 seeded Duquesne Dukes received a special package on Wednesday — new kicks from LeBron James.
The Dukes are coached by Keith Dambrot, who coached James at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School for two years. Players unboxed pairs of the Los Angeles Lakers star’s signature shoes in a white and light blue colorway.
James offered good luck to the team on X, formerly known as Twitter, ahead of their first tournament game.

Duquesne will face the No. 6 BYU Cougars in the first round of March Madness at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday. It is the first tournament appearance for the Dukes since 1977. They enter the tournament on an eight game winning streak.
James congratulated Duquesne and Dambrot on social media after they won the Atlantic 10 Championship last Sunday.
On Monday, Dambrot announced he will retire from coaching after the tournament.
