UFC Fight Night results: Moreno dismantles Albazi, earns unanimous decision win

Former two-time UFC men’s flyweight champion Brandon Moreno returned from a layoff with a lopsided unanimous decision win over Amir Albazi in the main event of UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Edmonton, Alberta.

Moreno (22-8-2), who reigned from 2021 to 2022 and again in 2023, was in complete control from the moment the fight started, using his jab to maintain range and pick apart Albazi. Moreno entered the fight on a two-fight losing streak, both by split decision.

Albazi (17-2) had six fight winning streak halted.

The co-main event also went to the scorecards as Erin Blanchfield beat former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas by unanimous decision to reenter her name on the list of women’s flyweight title contenders.
