Woman shares awkward mix-up after flowers from new boyfriend arrive with wrong card – The Mirror US
A woman has turned to TikTok for advice after finding herself in an awkward situation with her new boyfriend.
Explaining how she had been in her new relationship for just a few weeks when she received a delivery of flowers to her house. Whilst the romantic gesture should have been sweetly received, it has in fact made things much more awkward.
Hairdresser Meghan Moore explained that she and her new partner hadn't been together long, but had known each before becoming romantically involved. Moore had done both his and his ex wife's hair, before later matching with the man on Hinge and beginning to date.

Speaking to PEOPLE, she explained: "I used to do him and his ex-wife's hair years ago. They wound up getting divorced six months into me doing their hair and she stopped coming to me. Fast-forward to when I'm on Hinge and this guy likes my profile and I realize that was her ex-husband."
Whilst the man was staying at her house due to hurricane flooding affecting his own property, Moore received a bunch of flowers which she thought were for her and potentially a sweet gesture from her new partner. However the card revealed they are in fact for his previous partner as Moore revealed what was on the card: "Happiest birthday to my one true love. I wish I never let you get away. There are not plenty of fish in the sea. I love and miss you, but I miss you extra today."
After sharing the weird situation on TikTok, Moore has been inundated with theories from why her new partner would be getting flowers addressed to his ex wife. Some users thought they might be a genuine mistake or even just set up on an automatic order, whereas others speculated over whether he was divorced at all.
In the meantime Moore had contacted her new man to try and get some clarity. He then text her back saying he was confused and hadn't sent them, but something didn't add up for Moore who explained: "I didn't believe him. I thought he did it, because why else would it be my address and phone number, but her name and a message for her? It was really weird."
Yet after some more digging, Moore relented as she added that it was an unusual gesture from her new man and something 'just seemed weird'. Yet after speaking to the flower shop the bouquet came from, it appears they were ordered from a name and address that neither Moore or her new man knew.
Whilst Moore adds that her and the new man aren't fully committed to a relationship, it appears they've seen the funny side as she added: "He thinks it's crazy. He's a chill dude and doesn't seem to care too much. He's not on TikTok so he knows about the videos but doesn't care."
