Inside incredible Harry Potter Airbnb with secret door and very own 'platform' – Daily Express US
For those in need of a mini break and a dose of magic, this Harry Potter themed Airbnb is the perfect getaway for fantasy enthusiasts – though it has sparked mixed reactions among fans.
Fans can already immerse themselves in the magic at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Florida‘s Universal Studios or head to the Warner Bros Studio Tour Hollywood. Alternatively, if you’re traveling to Europe, the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour in London awaits.
But imagine being able to eat, sleep and spend unlimited hours walking around in Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw robes inside a Harry Potter property that is all yours for a short while. This dream can become a reality at a grand home in Cedar City, Utah, which has recently gone viral.
The impressive Airbnb spot, named Kingsbury Manor, boasts seven bedrooms, 14 beds, and five and a half bathrooms – there’s room for 16 guests. Additionally, there is a large kitchen, indoor basketball court and a spacious hot tub.
Don’t miss… ‘I tried the new Ninja Luxe Cafe and it’s got me to skip the coffee shop’ The owner, Craig, describes the space on Airbnb’s website, stating: “As you approach Kingsbury Manor, the magical charm is palpable. As you pull up you are greeted by the warm, copper fire lanterns. Upon stepping through the grand entrance, you are transported to a world of wonder and enchantment.”
He adds: “The Great Hall welcomes you with its soaring ceilings and warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for gathering your fellow adventurers and sharing tales of your magical journeys.”
As you explore, you’ll find numerous nods to Harry Potter – from a knight standing guard at the entrance to a hidden slide and Hogwarts-like hanging lanterns. Ascending the stairwell, you’ll encounter portraits of witches, Dumbledore, and Royal ancestors.
There’s even a cupboard under the stairs reminiscent of Harry’s, and a brick wall bearing a Platform 9 3/4 sign. Push on this wall, and it reveals a secret door leading to a bedroom with bunk beds, designed to resemble the interior of the Hogwarts Express.
Discussing the bedrooms, the owner revealed: “Each of the seven bedrooms is a portal to a different realm of magic. From house-themed common rooms to the cozy charm of the Train Platform Bunkroom, every room offers a unique and immersive experience.”The property continues to impress; the home theater is styled after Gringotts Bank, and there’s even a personal Diagon Alley shopping area. A glimpse inside this extraordinary property was recently shared on the Murphy Door TikTok page.
The video, featuring a woman clad in a Hufflepuff robe and wielding a wand as she tours the space, garnered over 223,000 views. Many viewers have praised the property, with one commenting: “So this is what it’s like to be rich rich! To even have a gorgeous house like that to live in but to have an extra house to make a Harry Potter Airbnb.”
“That’s insane,” remarked another viewer. “I want to live there and never go out,” chimed in another. “I’d love to play hide and seek there,” added one more.
However, some die-hard fans seemed to critique the space. One person commented: “It could be a lot better like it was very plain to be Harry Potter that entrance when you walked in the house should’ve been old world theme.”
Another voiced: “It feels so weird to commit to it but only like 20%,” while another penned: “That’s not what I imagine a Harry Potter Airbnb to look like at all.”
One more noted: “That’s such an American house, absolutely not.”
For 16 guests to stay at the property for two nights in December it would set you back $2,711. For more information on booking and prices see Airbnb’s website for more information.
