Delivery driver posts funny note for customer telling them to 'check Ring camera' – The Mirror US

UPS is a popular method for delivery drop offs.
Known as the United Parcel Service, the international package delivery firm offers services for businesses and residents. It delivers a variety of packages to people, from commercial to residential addresses.
Now one UPS delivery driver left a surprising note for a customer after attempting a drop off. The note, shared on X, previously Twitter, reads: "I just fell so bad on your porch. Watch the Ring camera for a good laugh. LOL. Text me the video please.”
The note from the driver was written on one of the UPS 'Sorry we missed you' slips which allows customers to rearrange parcels. The note, shared on X, racked up 25million views and 520,000 likes.
It also got nearly 2,000 comments and has been retweeted 16,000 times. Several commenters had the same idea about why the delivery driver left this note.
One X user said: “That’s a crafty way to get the evidence for a slip-and-fall lawsuit!” Another added: “That’s hilarious. Glad to see that instead of a ‘I’m going to sue’ message.”
A third echoed: “Yeah I’ll shoot that evidence right over so you can sue me” and a fourth user commented: “Fall victim doesn't want the video for a good laugh. Believe me. They want it for a good claim or lawsuit.”
The post doesn’t clarify the circumstances around the note so it is not clear how the driver ‘fell’ or if they had a bad fall leading to any injuries. Another user who saw the post had sympathy for delivery drivers.
They said: “I live in an icy/snowy area and have so much respect for delivery drivers. People need to ensure their steps, walks and driveways are cleared and treated.”
Some X users shared stories in the comment section about their own experiences with delivery drivers. One claimed: “I found a very large box on our porch. I assumed it was for husband and ignored it.
“In fact it had a tiny label saying it was for next door. I suspect delivery man just dumped it where sat nav puts the zip code, which is us.”
Another person shared a photo of a note they got from their delivery driver which says: “This item is too heavy. I am over 50 with high blood pressure and a bad lower spine. I cannot do it.”
UPS has been approached for comment.
