Mystery orbs filmed soaring over California wildfires weeks after drone frenzy – Daily Star
Southern California is under siege by fast-moving wildfires, with the swanky Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles among the worst hit. The devastation has tragically left five people dead and over 30,000 have been forced to flee their homes due to the encroaching inferno. Amid the chaos, eyewitness reports of bizarre "drones" or unidentified flying objects gliding above the blaze have surfaced.
A clip from local news channel KTLA 5, showed the smoke-blanketed fire zone overlaid with a road map of the area. But it also featured what appeared to be a fast-moving white 'orb' shooting across the lower half of the screen. It prompted speculation that the notorious New Jersey drones had shifted to California.

Other snippets of footage doing the rounds on social media presents gleaming anomalies zipping through roaring fires, with one video seemingly revealing a vast illuminated "mothership" amidst the smoke, reports the Mirror US.
While some onlookers reckon these are just freak atmospheric tricks played by the blistering heat, Chile's Ovniologica suggests perhaps ominous drones are floating overhead.
Twitter's buzzing with theories, including one user who pondered: "With 85mph winds it could be anything including pieces of flying burning debris, birds, bats, or swarms of insects. It's odd-looking though.."
Cal Wire, a local news outlet, shared two clips with the caption "strange fast-moving objects seen over SoCal fires". Netizens are buzzing about odd projectiles darting in and out of the #SoCal fires on live telly.
They're asking: "Missile? Firework? UFO? Arson? Are we under attack? ? ? ".
UFO fanatics have been scouring the news footage for more anomalous objects. One wrote on Reddit: I had 3 live streams going on 3 large monitors yesterday and through the night, to watch the fires as I have family who live in the affected area.
"The number of oddities zipping around, especially on the beach cams, was pretty interesting. I'm honestly surprised that there's not more video of them. I don't record the streams but I'm hoping someone else did and will post. The way the winds were and still are, many of them simply cannot be drones/other aircraft/fire retardant as they grounded everything overhead early in the fire event."
The forecast for those nearby is looking rather bleak. The notorious Santa Ana winds are whipping up a storm, with gusts reaching a whopping 80 mph, and it's only going to get worse in the next 12 to 24 hours.
Officials have admitted there's "no possibility" of getting the raging infernos under control anytime soon, and locals watching the flames creep closer to their homes are left wondering "don't know where to go."
Speaking to the Mirror, one resident from Topanga Canyon said: "Our area was evacuated. The fires are apocalyptic, catastrophic."
