Pet owner horrified after cat 'plays with death' in terrifying clip – Daily Express US

CatCats are wonderful companions that not only alleviate loneliness but also enhance mental well-being.
However, owning this animal can sometimes be a nerve-wracking experience. From them not coming home for the night to bringing back unexpected “friends”, ensuring the cat’s safety can be stressful.
A recent TikTok post by user @melissasantoro, who has over 4,000 followers, revealed a chilling reality of cat ownership that left viewers horrified. The video showed their cat nonchalantly sitting on the edge of a high window.
The caption read: “POV: You own a cat.” While cat owners could relate, many viewers expressed shock at the feline’s daring act.
In the post, which appears to show the cat perched several floors up, it received 1.1 million likes and 4,100 comments. One user joked: “‘Don’t worry I’ve got 9 lives’ *laughing emoji*.”

Another commented: “My intrusive thoughts, I’d be shaken if my kitty was that high up.” A third questioned: “Why are cats so unbothered by these things?”
Others jokingly speculated the feline must be on its first of nine lives. It’s important to realize that cats show love and appreciation in their unique way, a fact which can lead to missed signals if an owner isn’t attuned to cat behavior.
Highlighting this, Cali Cat Crew took to TikTok, laying out five key signs your cat loves you and counts you as part of their group. A standout sign mentioned in the video is: “They follow you to the bathroom.”
The explanation provided taps into feline history: “Cat ancestors were desert animals and their natural instinct tells them water is scary. So your cat doesn’t trust you going into the most terrifying room in your house alone.”
