Jan. 21: Barkley has highest rushing yard prop in three seasons

Oddsmakers are expecting another big game from Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley on Sunday and posted some of the highest over/under props in three seasons.

The over/under on Barkley’s rushing yards in the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders was sitting at 124.5, Thursday at ESPN BET, the highest of any player in any game over the last three seasons, according to ESPN Research.

Barkley rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ win over the Los Angeles Rams, easily eclipsing his over/under, which also 124.5 yards. Barkley averaged 148 yards on the ground in the Eagles’ two previous meetings with the Commanders in the regular season.

Barkley has the shortest odds of any player to score a touchdown this weekend, -225, Thursday at ESPN BET. As of Wednesday, more bets have been placed and more money wagered on Barkley to score than any other player listed at ESPN BET.

BetMGM was offering a prop bet on Barkley’s longest rush in the game, with the over/under set at 20.5 yards. The sportsbook reported that 99% of the money that had been bet on the prop as of Wednesday was on the over.

The point spread on the NFC Championship Game has grown during the week. The Eagles, who opened as low as 4.5-point favorites at some sportsbooks, were consensus 6-point favorites on Thursday morning.
