New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was trolled after Mike White decimated the Chicago Bears in Week 12.

Last week, quarterback Zach Wilson had an abysmal game for the New York Jets, completing just nine passes for 77 yards in the 10-3 loss to the New England Patriots. After saying he didn’t feel he let the defense down in the game, Wilson ultimately found his way to the bench in Week 12 as the No. 3 quarterback behind starter Mike White and backup Joe Flacco.

The Jets had the chance to rebound from the gut punch of a loss against the Patriots to take on a Chicago Bears team that had starting quarterback Justin Fields inactive due to a shoulder injury. It was a winnable game on paper, and White made it look easy, as the Jets picked up the 31-10 victory. All the while Wilson watched from the sidelines.

Twitter didn’t show much mercy to Wilson during and after the game.

Yeah, Wilson got burned badly on Twitter after going to the bench.

White had a very good game on Sunday. Granted, he was facing the Bears’ defense, but a strong showing, nonetheless.

Receivers Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore both thrived with White starting. Wilson was the recipient of two touchdown passes from White, one of which was for 54 yards. As for Moore, he scored his first touchdown of the year, weeks after requesting a trade.

White completed 22-of-28 pass attempts for 315 yards and three touchdowns.

Given how well White played in Week 13, it’s hard to envision Jets coach Robert Saleh going back to Wilson. It may very well be another week on the bench for the 2021 second-overall pick.
