Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse Make Their Red Carpet Couple
Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse have been dating for four years, but they just made their red carpet debut on Saturday night in Giza, Egypt, while attending the Dior fall 2023 menswear show. As the couple posed for the cameras, they giggled and flirted with one another like they were on their first date.
Pattinson wore an ivory colored suit over a dark gray sweater with a turtleneck, and a pair of chunky black boots. Waterhouse was wearing a sheer gown in a muted purple over a long slip of the same shade. Her hem and sleeves ended in flowing ruffles. She left her gold-toned hair down, and wore a bright red lip. On her feet were a pair of pointed-toe Mary Jane heels in black.
The couple were first romantically connected in 2018 after being photographed on a date in London, and while things were initially casual, they ended up quarantining together in 2020 at the start of the pandemic. A source told E! News at the time that things were getting serious.
“Rob and Suki have definitely discussed getting engaged but are in no rush,” said the source. “Suki is not pressuring him and they are both very committed to each other.”
They have since kept their relationship fairly private, which might be why it has taken so long for them to make an official red carpet appearance together.
“They are very solid in their relationship,” another insider said in late 2021. “They’ve gone to a few events together lately and are always just totally joined at the hip. You can tell he’s completely in love with her.”
In 2019, Pattinson told The Sunday Times of his personal relationships, “If you put up a wall it ends up better.”
He continued, “If you let people in, it devalues what love is. If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. I can’t understand how someone can walk down the street holding hands, and it’s the same as when I do it and a hundred people are taking your photo.”
He added, “The line between when you’re performing and when you’re not will eventually get washed away and you’ll go completely mad.”
The actor previously dated musical artist FKA Twigs, and they split in 2017.
