4 teams Vikings need to be most worried about in Super Bowl pursuit

Every year, the majority of Minnesota Vikings fans have that small, dark sense that, no matter how good things get, they’ll always end up being let down at the end of the year.

It’s just what Vikings fans are accustomed to. That’s life as a Minnesota fan. Well, aside from that gold ole Minneapolis Miracle.

But, the Vikings have had their hot starts in the past only to see the team fizzle out at year’s end. This year, though, feels a little different. The Vikings have a good thing going, and a Super Bowl is not out of the realm of possibilities.

For the Vikings to end up hoisting that glorious Lombardi in February, though, they’ll have to get through a gauntlet of NFC playoff teams. It seems like this season has seen many surprises and some unforeseen contenders, but at the end of the day, the Vikings have four particular teams they should be worried about in preparing for this postseason run.

Who the Vikings should be most worried about in Super Bowl pursuit: The Philadelphia Eagles

Over the course of this season, you could argue there is not a more well-rounded team in football than the Eagles.

It all hinges on quarterback and MVP candidate Jalen Hurts, though. The breakout by Hurts has truly allowed this Eagles team to flourish elsewhere. Miles Sanders has had a phenomenal season. AJ Brown is a scary man. DeVonta Smith is always a threat.

The offense looks borderline unstoppable at times, and they took it to this Vikings team earlier in the season.

But then, you have to deal with their defense which leads the league in takeaways at 24. This is an opportunistic defense that will strike once it smells blood, and that’s exactly what Vikings fans should fear if a guy like Cousins gets rattled.

The Eagles are legit Super Bowl contenders, period, and Minnesota should be worried.

Philadelphia beat Minnesota 24-7 earlier this season.
