Monday Night Football best prop bets for Rams vs. Packers (Back Christian Watson)

The Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers will cap off Week 15 of the NFL with a Monday Night Football matchup that looked a lot better when the schedule was first released.

The two teams were expected to be Super Bowl contenders this season, but they’re now both likely to miss the playoffs.

The Packers will enter the game as 7-point favorites, while the Rams will try to pull off the upset for the second straight week.

But what about player props? Betting on the side or total can be tough in a game between two underperforming squads, so targeting players performance may prove to be the more profitable option.

Let’s dive into my three favorite player props for the Week 15 edition of Monday Night Football.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Rams vs. Packers

  • Christian Watson OVER 44.5 receiving yards
  • Baker Mayfield OVER 191.5 passing yards
  • Cam Akers UNDER 55.5 rushing yards

Christian Watson OVER 44.5 receiving yards

Christian Watson had a rough start to his season, but over the last few weeks he has heavily improved and become Aaron Rodgers’ favorite weapon. He has surpassed this number in each of his last four games, including two games where he eclipsed 100 receiving yards.

Considering he’s now facing a Rams team that has allowed 8.0 yards per reception over their last three games, I’d bank on Watson having another big game tonight.

Baker Mayfield OVER 191.5 passing yards

Baker Mayfield threw for 230 yards in his first start with the Rams, including late game heroics that stole the win for them away from the Raiders. Even on two days notice, Sean McVay had no trouble asking Mayfield to throw the ball. He had 35 pass attempts in that game, completing 22 of them.

Now, he gets to face the worst pass defense in the NFL over the last three games. The Packers have allowed 8.7 yards per throw since Week 11, so Mayfield has a great matchup to go OVER his total tonight.

Cam Akers UNDER 55.5 rushing yards

We never really know what to expect from Cam Akers, but considering his season average for rushing yards per game is 34.2, I’m more than willing to take the UNDER at tonight’s set total of 55.5.

It’s also worth noting that he played only 42% of offensive snaps last week, so his workload could be decreasing. I think the Rams will rely on what won them the game last week, Mayfield’s arm. Fade Cam Akers tonight.
