Jaguars vs. Jets best NFL prop bets for Thursday Night Football (Back Garrett Wilson)

There are major playoff implications on Thursday night in the NFL, with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets both in need of a win to truly keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Jets are slight favorites in this game, but if you’re not sold on betting on a side, there are plenty of other ways to wager on this AFC showdown.

One of those ways is through prop bets, and they’re arguably my favorite way to wager on primetime football.

Let’s jump into three picks for this Thursday Night Football matchup:

Best NFL Prop Bets for Jaguars vs. Jets

  • Trevor Lawrence OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
  • Christian Kirk anytime touchdown scorer
  • Garrett Wilson OVER 56.5 receiving yards

Trevor Lawrence OVER 1.5 passing touchdowns

There’s some value on this passing touchdown prop for Trevor Lawrence, who is easily playing the best football of his young career lately.

Lawrence has thrown for two or more scores in four of his last five games, and he’s been the Jaguars’ best option for moving the ball on offense.

Yes, the Jets have a great defense, but Lawrence’s arm is going to either win or lose the Jags this game. I think Jacksonville is live for the upset, so I’ll take T-Law to find the end zone twice at plus money.

Christian Kirk anytime touchdown scorer

Christian Kirk is due to find the end zone after watching Zay Jones and Marvin Jones Jr. score a combined four times in Week 15.

They key is that Kirk is still seeing a huge target volume for the Jags, amassing seven or more looks in eight straight games.

He’s found the end zone seven times this season, and I think this a rare spot where we can get him a longer odds than Zay Jones this season.

The Jaguars are going to try to scheme him open, especially when he’s not lined up against Sauce Gardner. Kirk operates out of the slot a lot, which means he should avoid Gardner on the outside.

Garrett Wilson OVER 54.5 receiving yards

Garrett Wilson has cleared this line in six of his last seven games for the Jets, and now he’s facing a Jaguars defense that’s allowed the fourth most passing yards in the NFL this season.

Jacksonville has been torched through the air at times this season, so even Zach Wilson should be able to have some success against this secondary.

Garrett Wilson has seen plenty of targets (at least seven in six of his last seven games), and he has five games of over 90 receiving yards in his last seven contests.

This line is set way too low for him on Thursday.
