Aaron Rodgers stirs the pot about potential Packers exit

Aaron Rodgers appeared on the”Pat McAfee Show” a little over a week after missing the playoffs in a Week 18 home loss against the Detroit Lions.

For the first time in 18 years, the Green Bay Packers could be looking at a brand-new starting quarterback to begin the 2023 NFL season. Three-time MVP Aaron Rodgers nearly led his team on an improbable playoff push. Still, after losing the regular season finale against NFC North rival Detroit, the Packers were eliminated from postseason play, thus leaving Rodgers ringless for over a decade.

His lone Super Bowl win came in 2011 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but since the 25-20 victory in Dallas, TX, Rodgers, now 39, has failed to reach the big game once again and is now taking a hard look at his future in Green Bay. Though he is beloved by fans, his relationship with management has been far from perfect, to say the least, and the same question always pops up almost every offseason: will Rodgers stay with the Packers?

During an appearance on the widely-recognized Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers and the ex-Colts punter broke down his career, what is left for him to prove, and if he would play a 19th NFL season.

“I think I can win MVP again in the right situation.. is that Green Bay or somewhere else, I’m not sure and there’s more conversations to be had,” Rodgers said on the show.

Where would Aaron Rodgers find the best success to close his career on a high note?

While Rodgers did not reveal other potential landing spots, a few teams desperately need a new quarterback. Derek Carr is no longer a Raider, Lamar Jackson’s future is uncertain in Baltimore, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated Monday night, and there are concerns in East Rutherford about Zach Wilson’s status as a Jet.

NFL fans will have their eyes glued to witness the next chapter of his storied career regardless of where Rodgers lands.
