Tom Brady embraces retirement in a way none of us saw coming (NSFW)

Tom Brady has been retired for less than a week and it seems he’s already enjoying the unemployed life. Enjoying it just a bit too much, perhaps.

When former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement on social media last Wednesday, it came as a big surprise, but no one could have predicted what would happen next.

An even bigger surprise, it turns out.

Brady posted a picture of himself in nothing but his briefs in a beachside hotel room, tagging his buddies Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman along with his clothing brand, Brady Brand.

His caption was “Did I do it right?” and he added two grimacing emojis — which accurately represents how the rest of the Twitter reacted watching a 45-year-old man take a selfie in his underwear.

In Brady’s defense, he was mostly just shooting a promo for his clothing brand, making good on a promise he made more than a year ago when he said he would recreate some revealing photos if his post got a certain amount of likes.

No one actually expected him to do it, though. Forget him un-retiring. Put “The G.O.A.T. posing like an Abercrombie model” on your Tom Brady offseason bingo card.

Tom Brady reveals all in latest social media post

Brady wrote himself into the history books with his jaw-dropping years of dominance on the New England Patriots and his eye-opening performances in a decade’s worth of Super Bowls, but he elicited a much different visceral reaction from his social media followers today.

Is this what retired Tom Brady is going to look like now? A divorced dad-turned-sex symbol posting pictures of his package on the worldwide web? Brady probably has no regrets playing another year in the NFL despite finishing with his first losing season, but one can’t help but wonder what life would have been like if TB12 stayed retired last offseason.

No bottles of sand selling for outrageous amounts of money, no drama, his undefeated record against the Dallas Cowboys still intact. Nothing but peace and quiet.

People should still get used to seeing Brady on television — albeit with his clothes on — working as a FOX analyst for the foreseeable future.

From raunchy thirst traps to Super Bowl-winning throws, Tom Brady sure knows how to make a memory stick.
