Every game in the NFL is important. Although, some games can be more pivotal than others for a multitude of reasons.

For example, the timing of a scheduled matchup can most certainly weigh on the magnitude of a game. Or, a game between divisional and/or conference foes could be what settles a postseason tiebreaker. Also, if you are a team looking to make a statement with a big performance, you may have a certain clash circled on your calendar.

All in all, there are a variety of different aspects that impact the prominence of a game. Even the reigning Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, must prepare for some marquee matchups in the 2023 NFL Season.

As divisional rivals, these two teams are going to continue to meet twice a year. It seems as though we are going to get a high-scoring and thrilling affair between two of the league’s best teams.

Last season, both games had gone over the 50-point total while coming down to the wire. Ultimately, the Chiefs won both meetings by a combined six points.

The Chargers had a lead going into the fourth quarter of both games last season, they can smell blood in the water. Justin Herbert and the Chargers are not going anywhere, so if the Chiefs want to maintain their divisional dominance, it starts with beating the Chargers.

There is no bigger message that the Chiefs can send to the Chargers and the rest of the AFC West than a win in SoFi stadium.
