NFL Twitter reacts to Dolphins landing Bradley Chubb: Best memes and tweets

Twitter was abuzz on NFL Trade Deadline day, and the Dolphins outbidding the rest of the league for Broncos pass rusher Bradley Chubb set social media ablaze.

Who hit the button for extreme craziness on NFL trade deadline day? Probably the Miami Dolphins with the big splash of Bradley Chubb.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Miami is sending a package of picks, including a 2023 1st-round pick (49ers) to Denver for Chubb and a 2025 5th-round pick. The Broncos also get back Chase Edmonds in the deal.

Naturally, like it always does, Twitter has a lot to say on the matter. Some believe the Dolphins should be credited, but many believe Denver should be vilified for making this decision to trade their best young asset on defense.

The Miami Dolphins mortgaged a large portion of their future with the trade for Bradley Chubb from the Denver Broncos.

Combined with the decision to acquire Jeff Wilson from the 49ers in addition to landing Bradley Chubb from the Broncos, the Dolphins are going under a tiny microscope due largely to the amount of draft capital they have mortgaged. In shorter terms, this means they are heavily sold on Tua Tagovailoa, even with the medical risks that come with it.

At the same time, there are still questions in Denver about how GM George Paton is running the operation. While they are undoubtedly fortunate to have a 1st-round pick yet again, it cost them their best pass-rusher. With the offense under Russell Wilson still in limbo, the franchise still has multiple holes to fill and limited capital, even with this trade with Miami.

Sometimes, the names overtake the substance, and it’s only a matter of time before we see which side won the deal. Miami may have the upper hand for now, but the Broncos aren’t dead in the water just yet. They still have to ride, that is, if they can still do that.
